Sonia is an Educator with expertise in equity and diversity issues, accessibility, human resources and teaching. She is a licensed psychologist from Argentina and has worked both in the United States and Canada in higher education. Sonia has taught psychology and writing at the post-secondary level in the past. She presented her project on Assistive Technology and Universal Design in Argentina at the AHEAD 2006 conference, in San Diego, California. In her current role as Accessibility Counsellor, she provides services for students with disabilities on an ongoing basis, provides training to faculty in the Hospitality Recreation and Tourism school, is the former College representative at the College Committee Disability Issues in Ontario, Canada and is the co-chair of the College’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Sonia has been invested in inclusive practices in education around the world including South America, United States and Canada.
