Awareness and Use of People First Language: A Focus on Undergraduate and Graduate College Students

Holly Hoffman, Ph.D., is a Professor at Central Michigan University with experience teaching in the fields of Special Education, Human Development, and the First Year Experience. She has completed several research projects focused on college students including: Fostering Success of College Students with Disabilities, College Students on the Autism Spectrum: A Focus on Effective Self-Management and Each and Every Student Can Learn: A Study of Teacher Education Conceptions of Diversity. This presenter was awarded two Excellence in Teaching awards, as well as recognized for meaningful and active learning approaches involving the adult learner.
