Collaborative Strategies of Creating Accessible “Open Educational Resources” Materials with Low Impact on Accessibility Service Office’s Resources.

Jason has more than 10 years of experience in the field of higher education disability services. For the past 5 years, Jason has served as the Director for Harper College’s Access and Disability Services. Jason has served on institutional and shared governance committees pertaining to student development, testing and placement, and facilities and campus accessibility. In terms of efforts to enhance the institution’s digital accessibility, Jason currently co-leads a workgroup on developing software accessibility assessment and also works collaboratively with the Academy for Teaching Excellence and Robert Uhren in ensuring that open educational resource (OER) materials are readily accessible. Jason has provided more than twenty conference presentations on various topics including the accessibility of OER materials, test equity for students with disabilities, and accessible residential living experience for students with disabilities.
