“Deaf Students Abroad: A Proactive and Collaborative Approach”

Stephanie Zito, M.S., NIC: Stephanie Zito is a Technical Assistance Specialist with the National Deaf Center (NDC) on Postsecondary Outcomes. Prior to NDC Stephanie graduated with her Bachelor’s in ASL Studies and Interpreting in 2010, trained as a C-Print captionist, and became nationally certified in 2011. Since then she has primarily worked as an interpreter and captionist in postsecondary settings. In 2016, Ms. Zito graduated with her Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Stephanie has also devoted her time to work with local, state, and national nonprofit organizations. Currently, she serves on the National Association of Interpreters in Education (NAIE) Board of Directors and chairs several committees for the Wisconsin Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (WisRID).
