Diverse Land-grant University Leaders Describe Strategies for Students with Hidden Learning Disabilities

Author: LaRachelle Smith

With more than a decade of experience working in higher education as an instructor, an administrator, and a developer of programs for community outreach, I harnessed a passion for leadership development. Over the years, I have established and piloted leadership programs for students and entrepreneurs working with pre-college and college students (specializing in learning exceptionalities), young professionals, organizational teams, couples and individuals. My current work with the Table SALT Group helps students through mentorship and designs research-based curriculum that enhances self-efficacy with Creativity, Conflict Management, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Ethical Decision Making published and presented at various national conferences. My research interests evolve around hidden learning disabilities bringing awareness to this community so that leaders can help them succeed in their advanced educational endeavors.
