Enhancing Accessibility in the Classroom through Dynamic Faculty Learning Communities: The Faculty Perspective

Dr. Carol Marchetti is a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the COS School of Mathematical Sciences. Marchetti teaches introductory and advanced undergraduate statistics courses and conducts research in access and inclusion in statistics education, deaf education, and cooperative learning. Her research collaborations include Supplemental Online Learning Tools (SOLTs) to improve the academic success of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in foundational statistics course, facilitating team knowledge building in mixed teams of DHH and hearing students, and empowering faculty to improve access and inclusion in their classrooms. She is also co-PI on RIT's NSF ADVANCE IT project, Connect@RIT, and leads grant activities in salary equity and faculty data.
