Justin Freedman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education at Rowan University. He received his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from The College of New Jersey with teacher certifications in Social Studies and Special Education. He received a Ph.D from Syracuse University, where he studied Special Education and Disability Studies. He has presented at national and international conferences and his research has been published in refereed journals including the International Journal of Inclusive Education, Disability & Society, and Teachers College Record. He has presented the research that is the focus of this presentation at a conference of the New York State Disability Services Council. In October 2018, his will present data from this research study at a meeting of the New York State Department of Education’s Advisory Council on Postsecondary Education.
