From Problem to Possibility: Using Coaching Skills to Manage Student Challenges

Christina Fabrey, M.Ed., PCC, BCC is the Associate Dean of Advising and Academic Achievement at Prescott College after serving as the Director for the Center of Advising and Achievement, Director of Academic Support Services, and Disability Support Provider at Green Mountain College for many years. She currently incorporates coaching into her work with students with disabilities and with students who are on academic probation. Christina is a certified life & ADHD coach and is a JST Coaching and Training faculty member. She received the 2011 Emerging Professional award from Vermont Women in Higher Education for her innovative work with coaching in the college setting and is a contributing author of Becoming Self-Determined: Creating Thoughtful Learners in a Standards-Driven, Admissions-Frenzied Culture, Field & Parker (editors). As a dedicated member of the AHEAD community, she has presented on coaching in the DSS field for the last ten years.
