Hands-off: how I benefited from studying in a country without disability supports

In his position as Project Coordinator of the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE) Justin Harford works to increase the participation of students with disabilities and all kinds of international exchange by providing information and resources to people with disabilities, as well as exchange and disability services professionals. He has developed content including a podcast and tip sheet resources on key topics of international exchange. He has also presented at the 2015 and 2016 IIE Generation Study Abroad conferences, and the National Association of Blind Students. Justin is also a blind alumnus of the University Of California Education Abroad Program Summer Spanish Immersion program in Michoacan Mexico, and the academic year abroad program at the pontifical Catholic University in Santiago Chile, and has experienced disability-related international exchange issues personally.
