In the Mean Time (pun intended) – Math/STEM Accessibility through Accessibility Tutors, Campus Collaboration & Assistive Technology


Aura is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling, a Graduate Certificate in Assistive Technology and Accessible Design, and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification through RESNA. She has broad experience as a Counselor, Researcher, Instructor, and Grants Coordinator. She has presented at numerous professional conferences about Universal Design in Education. Currently, she is a Counselor, in the Accessibility Resource Center, working with students with disabilities, specializing with those who are blind or visually impaired, and she coordinates the Alternative Textbook Program. She also serves as Co-chair of the UWM Chancellors ADA & Accessibility Advisory Committee (ADAAAC) and on the Assistive Technology and Accessible Design (ATAD) Certificate Program Advisory Board.
