Katherine is the Global Marketing and Brand Manager for Sonocent, the multi-award winning company helping over 120,000 students across Europe and North America to take notes independently. Katherine has been a strong advocate for student equity, with practical experience in education, politics and technology. As Resident Tutor and Access Officer at the University of Durham, she provided pastoral care and academic support for students with chronic illnesses. Later, Katherine worked on education and gender policy as part of European and British parliamentary groups, building business cases for educational change. At Sonocent, Katherine’s team works with Access community to understand the challenges being faced across Higher Education; the vision is to shape Sonocent as more than just a technology company but instead a driver of real social change in diverse learning environments. Katherine has previously spoken at COE 2018 and AHEAD 2019 about note-taking accommodations.
