Don Pool is the Coordinator of Accessibility Services at Jamestown Community College. He currently serves students with disabilities on all three campuses, providing accommodations and services to help these students access higher education. Don is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Before working in higher education, Don worked in the non-profit sector where he oversaw numerous mental health clinics and services for individuals with developmental and learning disabilities. Much of his work included supervising mental health clinicians, care coordinators, and other professionals, ensuring delivery of services in a barrier-free, trauma-informed environment. Don earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University at Buffalo (UB). During his graduate work, he earned a fellowship at the Veterans Administration where he specialized in working with veterans with PTSD and other trauma-related symptoms. As part of that work, he designed programs intended to increase provider resilience.
