Mental Health Awareness Video Competition (MHAVC), 2017 SUNY program award winner

Currently an Associate Director of Accessibility Resources at the University at Buffalo, with a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science, I started out as an Occupational Therapist in 1980 and my research and program evaluation interests include participation, disability studies, collaborative programming, and universal design and programming, including Universal Design Yoga (UD Yoga), which was the recipient of a 2014 SUNY award in student programming. Another project, the Mental Health Awareness Video Competition, a collaborative program with UB Counseling Services won a 2017 SUNY award for programming. Annual presentations at the national Association of Higher Ed and Disability (AHEAD) conference, chairing the AHEAD Disability Studies special interest section since 2009, and membership in the Society of Disability Studies (SDS), and being a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) provide multiple opportunities for exploration of mindfulness, disability, wellness.
