Multi-Disciplinary Communication Access:Is this a promising practice for equity&excellence in higher ed access services?

Adaptive Technology Specialist with the Accessibility Resource Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Involvement in the Assistive Technology/Information Technology Committee (AT/IT) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. AT/IT meets to discuss matters of accessibility with technology involved in teaching and learning environments. AT/IT is the catalyst for the Accessibility and Technology Group. I initiated and continue to lead the Accessibility and Technology Group, which is a collaborative, interdisciplinary group that ensures a high level of sustainable, quality collaboration and access for individuals with disabilities within the University of Wisconsin (UW) System. This group currently involves 96 professionals with an interest in accessibility and technology from 28 campuses in the UW System.
