Melissa has extensive experience working with educators and educational leaders in curriculum design, and has lead professional development with underpinnings of UbD and UDL to K-20 educators and leaders for over fifteen years. In her role as a instructional coach in K-12 literacy, Melissa facilitated instructors' thinking around universal design. Melissa is earning an Ed.D in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership, and her academic research is focused on designing faculty development around inclusive teaching practices of postsecondary practitioners. In her capacity as Instructional Designer at Brown, Melissa designs and delivers faculty and staff programming aligned with UDL and technology integration.
