Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology in Post-Secondary Education

Dan Cochrane, a RESNA-certified assistive technology professional (ATP), has presented at multiple national assistive technology conferences (ATIA, Closing the Gap, RESNA) and teaches several online courses at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Assistive Technology Certificate Program, where he is currently a full-time clinical instructor. He has 20 years of experience in special education, including 13 years as a full-time assistive technology specialist/coordinator for a large suburban school district. Dan has used the QIAT-PS Student Self-Evaluation Matrix with high school students as a transition and self-empowerment tool, and currently has a 10% appointment with the Great Lakes ADA to work on the QIAT-PS project.
