Rethinking Education: A Paradigm for Maintaining Transitional Alignment in the Educational Environment

Tabitha is certified special education teacher, with a specific emphasis in learning disabilities. She’s currently working as the Disability Director at Southern Nazarene University, and has been in the education sector for 16 years. Her teaching experience is critical in understanding the efficacy of and transitional alignment between k-12 and Higher Education. Her years of experience with hands on learning and practice of pedagogy in the special education classroom with all populations of disability provides her with an expertise that sets her apart from the typical Disability Director and educator. Tabitha’s educational career has taught her the mechanisms within each educational environment, providing her with the knowledge of how students are being educated, what is working and not working, and how the law is being practiced in both, whether good or bad. She’s served on boards and is the past president of Ok-AHEAD, recently chairing and assisting 2 state conferences and working with the state department of education and her community to build bridges.
