Holly Pearson recently earned her doctorate in Education with a Disability Studies emphasis from Chapman University. Dr. Pearson’s research focuses on higher education, spatial and institutional college experiences of students, in particular, with marginalized groups, intersectionality, and social/spatial justice. Presently, she is exploring how to critically re-approach spatial design with diversity and intersectionality. She has authored journal articles in Disability Studies Quarterly, Equity & Excellence in Education, Intellectual and Developmental Disability, and Journal of Diversity in Higher Education. She primarily teaches about diversity, identities, and race and ethnicity along with guest lecturing on a broad array of topics from an interdisciplinary approach. She has also presented at multiple conferences such as the American Educational Research Association and the California Council on Teacher Education.
