Author: brownml

Michael has worked to serve students with disabilities since 2012. Prior to his work in disability services, he has experience with adjunct teaching at a four-year institution. Michael does not have experience presenting at a national conference. However, Michael has provided numerous disability services outreach presentations to various campus stakeholders, including student athletes. During outreach presentations, Michael provides participants with learning objectives and assists participants in meeting the stated learning objectives by using techniques for a variety of learning styles. Examples include starting where participants are, individual reflection, group work, didactic instruction, linking participants to resources, and creating a non-threatening environment to enhance participant learning.
