Teaching Effective Study Skills to Students: An Adaptable, Integrable, and Research-Based Formula for Study Strategy Instruction

I have presented at professional conferences including the national N4A convention (National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals) in 2015 and the University of South Carolina Drive-In Conference in 2018. I regularly present information related to effective study strategies and other academic skills to groups of collegiate student-athletes as a function of my position. I recently presented a version of this proposed material to group of Success Coaches and Advisors at Old Dominion University, per their request for training led by myself. I have a master’s degree in Adult and Lifelong Learning and have been working in higher education in positions involving direct student contact and study skill instruction for 6 years.
