The Accessibility Scavenger Hunt: Empowering Students to Advocate for Campus Change

Chris Lanterman is a principal lecturer in the Department of Educational Specialties at Northern Arizona University. His research is in the areas of teacher education, inclusion, disability studies, and universal design for learning. Chris has written book chapters and articles and presented at numerous conferences on these topics, including several AHEAD conferences. Dr. Lanterman’s advocacy work includes his role as co-chair of Northern Arizona University’s Commission on Disability Access and Design, whose vision is “a university community free from physical and attitudinal barriers to services, programs and activities through Universal Design.” Chris is a former faculty advisor to the student organization, NAU 4 All, who organize and facilitate the Scavenger Hunt.
