Dr. Meeks holds a faculty appointment in the division of General Internal at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF-SOM) and also serves as the Director of Medical Student Disability Services. As leading author and co-editor of the seminal text on disability in the health sciences, Dr. Meeks has helped shaped the future of health science education for students with disabilities. She is a leader in the field of health science and disability, PI on the AAMC/UCSF Lived Experience Project and forthcoming special report and president elect and co-founder of the Coalition for Disability Access in Health Science and Medical Education and director at large for the Association of Higher Education and Disability and co-chair of the special interest group on Graduate and Professional Education. Dr. Meeks work is widely published in both medical and disability related journals.
