My name is Ashley Erickson. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on receive my Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in Student Accessibility Services for 8 years, starting as a graduate student and working my way up to Associate Director. Throughout this time, I have experienced every area of the office and witnessed the changes in best practices, policies, and procedures. This has given me not only an in-depth understanding of how our office works, but also allowed be to view the positive effects changes in what we do have led to. I understand that each institution has different ways of working with students from start to finish, so this presentation will allow me to show what we do, and hear about some other institutions as well. We view working with our students as a holistic and interactive process, and that is what I want this presentation to be as well.
