Universal Design Studio: Applying Principles to Disability Services’ Practices

Cole Eskridge is the Universal Design (UD) Consultant at the University of Arizona's (UA) Disability Resource Center. In this role, they work across their campus to educate their colleagues and collaborate on projects to help them recognize potential UD applications in their programming, course designs, policies, and physical spaces. Cole has presented on applying UD at conferences of various sizes, from smaller regional offerings (such as the Arizona regional NASPA conference) to major international conferences (such as 2018 Online Learning Consortium Innovate Conference, and the 2019 NASPA National Conference). Cole is a also a PhD student in the University of Arizona's Higher Education program, where they are researching the intersection of disability services practices and organizational theory to determine opportunities for further promoting UD across campuses.
