Gemma has been a Disability Services Officer for the University of Sydney for the past 5+ years. Gemma holds a Bachelor of Arts in German and Mathematics, Post Graduate Diploma in Arts in Primary Education and a Masters in Education and Training Management (E-Learning). Gemma’s previous professional experience includes, working for six years as an Outreach Project Officer for the National University of Ireland Maynooth where she developed a number of successful initiatives for socio-economically disadvantaged primary and secondary students, which linked her to her chosen career path of primary teaching. Following this, Gemma taught for six years in the Irish system, was inducted into the National University of Ireland Maynooth Hall of Fame in 2011 and then relocated to Australia to continue career development in the field of Education. Gemma is currently a member of the Australian Tertiary Education Network on Disability (ATEND).
