Working with Faculty to Guide Students on Creating Memory Aids

Kari Hanken is a Disability Counselor at Portland Community College (PCC) with 21 years experience working in higher education and disability. Prior to that she worked in K-12 as a Special Education and Elementary Education Teacher. Kari served on the state Oregon AHEAD board for three years and has taught study skills and college success classes at PCC. She has experience evaluating students for Learning Disabilities and years of professional work creating curriculum and working with students on strategies to trigger memories for learning, studying and exams.
